Josiah Houston |
A critically acclaimed performance poet in his youth (as seen on CBS 60 Minutes), Josiah Houston has been walking the tightrope between audience and expression his entire life. Upon completing his Honors degree in Theatre, and writing an award winning thesis exploring the dramatic canon of Jean Genet and “the Plague of Consciousness”, Houston packed his twenty year old life into a bright blue backpack and began traveling the world. In the four years that followed, he lived as both a vagabond and volunteer, visiting over twenty countries (including the vastness of his own), and finding homes in Austin Texas, South Africa and the Samoan Islands. As a volunteer, his work consisted primarily of running educational programs in English, Drama, Speech, and Poetry for both elementary and high school students among other community projects; while his artistic output included three full albums of original music, countless poems, and numerous plays of varying size, style, and substance. Knowing at his core that he is a theatre maker, Josiah Houston returned to the United States in order to rejoin trusted collaborators in the creation of PIECE Theater Company in New York City. He is currently the PIECE Theatre’s Resident Playwright. | |

Anthony has been been acting for as long as he can remember! (people closest to him tell him he’s been at it longer than that) A social chameleon, he finds himself dissatisfied with the growing social divide occurring in this world and has begun to try and make a difference in the only way he knows how... Theatre. Most of his training being on the performance side of things you could consider him an “actor’s director” having just completed his first off Broadway production as a director and receiving a national award for outstanding direction, Anthony is ready to change the world... One piece at a time. |
